My wife and I arrived at London’s Heathrow Airport and take a car service to the hotel with our luggage. After a nap, we explored London.
The first thing I noticed was many crosswalks contained instructions for pedestrians. I suspect the instructions weren’t painted without a reason…

I managed to get a picture next to a phone box, which was used as the visitor’s entrance to Harry Potter’s Ministry of Magic. These days the phones boxes are obsolete. And I couldn’t find any Police Boxes, which are also obsolete, so no pictures next to a Tardis from Doctor Who.

I visited Big Ben…

Parliament…

And the London Eye. Also, I could see it out of our hotel window–The Belgrave near the Pimlico Underground station.

Plus, a picture of the Thames with tour boats.

Finally, a picture of a Winston Churchill statue. This photo is one without pigeons, which was an accomplishment.

Though all of this, Kel and I stopped into a pub for a bite to eat. The portion was huge like all portions in Europe. Sometimes, we split a single meal. On a TV with the sound down, we saw two game shows–The Tipping Point and The Chase. Until getting to Germany, they provided quite a bit of entertainment before hitting the hay. We also were enthralled by British Open Snooker Tournament.
