Day 11 began with a double rainbow and clearer skies. The first photo captured one of the rainbows well but not the other. It’s visible in the second. Much to my dismay, a leprechaun wasn’t waiting with a pot ‘o gold.
Kel and I drove (This means Kel drove.) to County Tippary. On the way, we stopped at Moor Abbey ruins.
After chatting with Bob Wilkenson and Tim at Bob’s house, we got food for this leg of the trip at the butcher shop.
We settled into our B&B, ate, and watch a few episodes of The Chase. While it’s a trivia game show, the British version is mesmerizing.
The next day we attended church at Clonbeg Church in Glen Aherlow. Afterward, we stopped by Bob’s for breakfast snacks. Then, we headed to the Tipperary Golf Club for lunch, which lasted the entire afternoon. Many of Bob’s friends and family attended—something like twenty of us. Eventually, his grandkids went to the tee box for kid’s tournament.
All afternoon, we got to watch the kids tee off and hit their second shots.
As an unexpected bonus, I picked up a putter cover to replace one I had lost a couple years back.
