Since discovering Bvindu technology two years ago, Frank, as part of the Citizens in Freedom Committee, diligently worked to push MarsVantage to self-sufficiency under the radar. For him, that’s the key. He believes the company will achieve it before Washington gets wise and attempts to stop them.
The other members of the Committee, including his partner, Gretchen, expect the the government to compromise MarsVantage’s ability to use the alien technology, probably by nationalizing it. As evidence, they point to Washington sending a team of auditors and inspectors to pry into every detail, ostensively seeking a justification to nationalize Bvindu tech. And they found nothing out of the ordinary.
Washington isn’t done, though. A reporter, who is Gretchen’s ex-husband, will arrive soon. Though he may try to leverage that relationship to learn all about the Bvindu, he’ll fail. Gretchen hasn’t been forthcoming with her team of archaeologists–she isn’t about to blab their plans to the man who ended their marriage contract by email.
Frank believes Washington, not finding overt indications of threat to their rule, will do they’ve always done to keep MarsVantage in line–impose regulations, fees, and taxes. Why change tactics now?
The other Committee members believe MarsVantage’s unprecedented discovery will bring unprecedented Washington action.
Is Frank correct? Can MarsVantage move in secret and achieve self-sufficiency in two years?
Are the other Committee members correct in believing will take unprecedented action in response to the unprecedented discovery?
