The Music of Mars News
I took a big step in getting my novel published. I contracted with Demi Stevens at Year of the Book for editing, formatting, and publishing.
Fun with Texting
This isn’t a post about the wrong text getting the wrong the person. It’s more about how I managed to botch simple messages.
Editing Choices
I’ve been writing a short story entitled Temporal Correction. In it’s original form, it was 7k+ words, which is the longest short story I have ever written. And the last scene wasn’t working as I want
The Paperboy Read by a Professional Actor
Around Christmas 2016, I submitted a short story to a contest where the winning entries are read by a professional actor. The story is up for viewing!
Circle of Influence by Annette Dashofy
Circle of Influence by Annette Dashofy My rating: 5 of 5 stars A fascinating book that I’ve been reading during my hour at work. Toward the end of the book, I didn’t have enough lunch hour in my hour and had to return to work when I really wanted to finish the book. The mystery … Read more
How to Easily Alienate People (Your Audience)
Since the 2016 Presidential Election, I’ve seen much that I find distasteful in how people are treating others, both on the news and my personal Facebook feed. Inside Out: A Personal History of Pink Floyd by Nick Mason
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I enjoyed the book a lot. Nick has a sense of humor that comes through in the writing.
Though I wasn’t overly interested in the Syd days, the remainder of the book was a fun read. I loved reading his remembrances of tours and albums while recalling what I was doing during that same time.
Search for an Email Client
Originally, I used Mozilla Thunderbird as my email client. It had all of the features I needed and more. In 2012, Mozilla announced they weren’t going to develop new features. I decided to move on from Thunderbird, knowing it’d eventually become a dinosaur.
At that time, I chose eM Client as a replacement. Several years passed, and I decided to evaluate email clients again.
Donald Trump Hands Could be an Advantage
Kel and I spent some time at Elite Shooting, working with our new firearms. For about 10 minutes back in December, I shot a pistol like the one I bought, and I fell in love with it. It’s different firing your own weapon.
